Hi,
not sure what your problem is - I use DFT myself and didn't experience
any trouble. I would believe that if you were able to create the DFT and
trial-run it before uploading, you should also be able to run it from
the web.
As to the .cab files you mentioned, you won't need any of them after a
successful install of the components, so they may be actually missing
(deleted after install?). They are anyway missing on my PC too.
You're probably right to suspect something to be wrong with your
browser. Have you checked the appropriate options under tools | options
| security and in the Microsoft VM section there? Meaning that some
level of Java should be activated.
The next thing I would try is to repair the IE5 installation by
selecting tools after running msinfo32.exe. If all fails you might run
the tests on Fred Langa's Browsertune site
http://www.browsertune.com/bt2kfast/default.htm and have a look at the
results you get.
