Roxio is a company created and owned by Adaptec around Sept. 2000.
Adaptec had also previously bought up my favorite product in WinOnCD
made by ceQuadrat from Germany. My thoughts are that WinOnCD was
superior to EasyCD Creator, so instead of making a better product they
just bought the competition. That's OK, but Adaptec then stopped
selling it in America. That's too bad, those ceQuadrat folks knew
their stuff and I'd love to buy a new version of it, assuming they
were allowed to develop it further.

Regardless, the latest free update for EasyCD Creator you can install
will depend on what version of the software you own. The latest
released version for purchase is Easy CD Creator v5.x. (There is a
Basic and a Platinum version.)

Version -> Latest Update
=====================
3.x -> 3.5c (Not WinXP compatible)
4.x -> 4.05 (Not WinXP compatible)
5.x -> 5.02d (Get latest Basic or Platinum patch for WinXP
compatibility)

There are updates for the various version of DirectCD too, if you're
using that.
