And therefore we can't use theie descendents for Y chromosome DNA testing.

9 Generations is not a very long time span when you are testing with DNA.
Since the move (or polymorphism) within the DNA is very slow if we were to
test you and the DNA matched either 12/12 or 11/12 on our 12 marker test,
then it would be highly likelily (99.9%) that you and the person mentiond
above would share a common ancestor. These numbers are calculable and
supplied by a popultion geneticist from the U of Arizona. He provides us
with statistics which show when the Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA) would
have appeared.

Nothing.

Eventually. As more people come othe the database your 'scores' wil sort
with other people who have Finnish background. More ethnic grouping tests
are planned for next year, but on a group by group basis only. As you can
imagine it takes time to build databases for ethnic groups, and sometimes
the differences between groups are in name only.

With other people from Finland took the test you would be able ot see with
100% certainty that you did not share a common ancestor and with a 99.9%v
certainly that you did share a common ancestor and you would be able ot see
the statistics that present a bounding box of when the MRCA would have lived
