Hi,
It should be stated that Brent Kennedy did almost no research for his
book and that much of the information in the book is genealogically and
historically inaccurate. In order to write a book, it is necessary to do
the research to make certain what you are stating is reliable. There is
excellent Melungeon research being conducted by many researchers, however
Kennedy's book is simply another politically-correct revision of history
that will lead to more misinformation on the subject it was supposedly
written to illuminate. Even when faced with documentation to disprove his
theories, Kennedy continues to promote the theories in the media and on the
internet. Remember, it is necessary to search for the truth in any field
and we should strive to make certain that truth is the basis of our
research.
Best wishes.
