The "X Factor" is probably a reference to haplogroup X, one of the
haplogroups found in American Indians (the other four groups being A-D).
Haplogroup X is puzzling because it's found in Europeans as well. However,
the last I heard, they were unable to extract DNA from Kennewick Man, so his
haplotype is unknown.
