If you get lemons, make lemonade! (not exactly the right metaphor, but hey,
the expression is still fun to say.)
A couple of years ago I put together my Brainerd ancestry web site which
shows how I descend from no less than THREE of the sons of the immigrant from
England, Daniel Brainerd and his wife Hannah Spencer. Heck, I'm more Brainerd
than the average Brainerd!
I'm fascinated by this ancestrial line because of all the links to historical
figures which you can see (teaser alert!) if you go and take a look at:

Oh, and that funny looking character at the bottom of the page has been sans
beard for some time now :)
