Allan, yours too will come--good luck with those LDS CD's! By the way, I
know people have often wondered what else they can do to get DNA
participants. I knew from the reaction to the first round of testing that
this would be a mission that would last years. I had 10 the first time
around, now 2. In approximately June 2002 I will go to Belgium and
Netherlands to meet with families I don't know but have had email
conversations with. As we all know, you have to establish relations with
these families. Why should anyone fork over a lot of money for something
they know nothing about? In person I will be able to get to know these
people, potential family, and be able to talk things out with them. I have
related 3 different large clans so far, and the fun isn't over yet! There
are more clans that I know will be related. It is very exciting, but list
members, this could take some time. Others such as Doug Mumma and Orin
Wells are doing very well out of the starters box. Each situation will be
different. Maybe by the time I am done we will either be doing 20 to 50
markers, or this approach will be discarded for some type of protein
analysis that I have read about--somewhere.
Anyway, good luck to everyone. It is a good feeling to get results back,
even if it is 1 or 2.
