Hi Listers,

I don't know if it has been suggested yet, since I haven't been following
the thread. How about www.moleculargenealogy.com?

I don't see any reason that it need to be DNA, since proteins should be as
illustrative, if not as utilitarian - it may get confused with the BYU site
of similar name though.

But here is something I would think is nifty just in general - how about
distinguishing paper (genealogy) from molecular (and call that geneology)?
So the molecular "ology" would connote the scientific aspect of the
molecular endeavor, and would also provide cover for all those who mis-spell
genealogy. It will be a movement, but alas, www.geneology.com is already
taken.

Cheers,

Gregg
P.S. Allan, sorry I sent you a blank e-mail. My computer whisked it away
before I could write anything and change the "To:" field.

Well, Orin, ask and ye shall receive.
I agree with others that the name should include both genealogy and DNA.
The
word "match" is nice but there are too many other applications for DNA
matching
such as in law enforcement. If you don't like 'genealogy' or it is
overused,
how about 'generationalDNA' or 'ancestralDNA' but not 'incestralDNA'!
:>)

If you named it ancestralDNA.com you might even be able to sell it
someday to
Ancestry! Of course, then we'd all have to pay for matching.
