Dear Listers,

I am new to DNA although I have been into gene for
many years.

I note that most interest is with Y chromosome DNA and
surname studies, however, my question is:

Is there any value in my 98 y.o. mother her having a
DNA test while she is still with us?.

I might add that she has no living relatives except
myself and my children and possibly unknown nth
cousins many times removed in England or Germany.
