Having watched this list for a while, I figured it was time I sought
interpretations of my own yDNA
My data from ftDNA are as follows:

LOCUS DYS# SCORES ALLELES
1 393 5 13
2 390 8 24
3 19 8 17
4 391 5 10
5 385a 8 14
6 385b 9 15
7 426 4 11
8 388 5 13
9 439 5 13
10 389-1 5 13
11 392 5 11
12 389-2 7 31
13 458 11 18
14 459a 6 8
15 459b 8 10
16 455 7 11
17 454 8 11
18 447 9 25
19 437 8 15
20 448 9 20
21 449 11 31

Matching against the ftDNA, University of Arizona and STR databases reveal
matches in:
- Berlin
- Northern Poland
- Lithuania
- Ljubljana
- Romania
- Uzbekistan
- England

and with two Ashkenazis of unknown origin.

The Berlin and Northern Poland matches are intriguing: My grandfather was
Jewish and come from Northern Poland, and lived in Berlin before escaping to
England. Finding matches in those areas now would be unsurprising were it
not for the holocaust, which I would have thought made it unlikely that
there would be any Jews (or people of KNOWN Jewish descent at any rate.)

Any views - expert or just fresh pair of eyes - very welcome.

Bob Leiser.
