I'd like to suggest Mr. Yates do some actual Sizemore research instead of relying on the numerous myths regarding this surname. Having spent 17 years researching this surname through the existing RECORDS, I can assure everyone that there were NO Full Blood Native American Sizemores, male or female, and have the documentation to prove it. The surname is English and can be found in those records starting in 1556. There was no Mary Sizemore at Jamestown. William & Martha Sisemore were in VA by 1619, both from England. She was not "captured by Chief Opechancanough", etc. etc. etc.

Additionally, at this point even the donor of the DNA has not received an official report so we only have Mr. Yates word as to what it actually shows. If indeed John A. Sizemore's DNA does have a Native American connection it will have to be from a FEMALE SIZEMORE/Native American relationship with the male child (and possibly other children) using her surname. This relationship could have been as late as the parents of George Sizemore b. ca. 1750s, the last documented male in this line.

Mr. Yates also implies this one DNA result can be applied to ALL SIZEMORES not just this one line, which by the way is not his.
