Subject: [DNA] another one of my survey questions
Date: Sat, 1 Jun 2002 22:44:38 -0400
I am curious, what is the maximum genetic separation that has been
discovered between two men with a known (i.e., very good documentation)
common male-line ancestor?
In my project, I would have to say that I can only see one single-increment
change. The other differences are because the lines are not related, or
because the common ancestor is far enough back that it can't (yet) be
documented.
I have seen what I believe is a mutation, then a reversion mutation in one
line. Can anyone show a line with two changes? Three changes? etc.....
Cheers,
Gregg
