Dumfriesshire is the earliest record of the Norman "Woods" lineage. There's
a good chance Tiger's a haplogroup-2 Viking patriline. By racial percentage
he's probably mainly Asian. A Salon story gave his ancestry as "half-black,
one-quarter American Indian, one-quarter white father) and a Thai mother".
Since most African Americans and American Indians have some significant
European admixture from before genealogies were kept, the Asian component
from his mother is probably 'half', followed by equal parts European and
African followed by American Indian.
But I agree, it would be interesting to see his specific makeup as it
appears to be a particularly interesting 4 way cross hybrid (a technique
well known to animal and plant breeders). Typically, however, breeders will
maximize heterosis (hybrid vigor) by crossing purebred studs with
rotationally hybridized females in breeder herds.
