"Linked," by Albert-Laszlo Barabasi, is about networks in general (the web,
"six degrees of separation, metabolic pathways in cells, and so forth). He
does not list any genealogical examples, but I could not help but think of
how we use some of the concepts in analyzing DNA results, such as star-shaped
network diagrams.
He does mention in passing Douglas White, the social scientist who drew
network diagrams for my Warren County, TN 1850 census database project.
That's an example of a network right there -- Barabasi to White to Turner.
