Gary,

Welcome to the "35 Marker Club"! (You reported your Ancestry.com results to
the list on June 8, 2002).

You are one of the more unusual HG1s I've seen. You are only a 21 out of 35
match with the most common values for HG1. Here are the most notable
differences:

DYS385a: You have "10" - that's only seen in about 5% of the HG1s
DYS392: You have "14" - that's only seen in about 10% of the HG1s.
DYS389ii: You have "28" - that's only seen about 5% of the HG1s.
DYS447: You have "26" - that's only seen in about 10% of the HG1s.
DYS461: You have "12" - that's only seen in about 10% of the HG1s.
DYS464: This marker has been under discussion recently on the list. Having a
"15" is only seen in about 10% of the HG1s. Having two 19's is also rare -
but I'm not quite sure how to attach a percentage to that.
YCAIIa: You have "18" - that's only seen in about 5% of the HG1s.

You have the second most common values (20%-25% occurence among the HG1s)
at:

DYS390
DYS391
DYS439
DYS448
DYS449

So what does "unusual" mean? It means you are an HG1 who doesn't have to
worry about "accidental" matches. And someday (when the databases are
bigger) these rare values might tell you alot about which population your
paternal line came from.

Dennis
