We do not limit the Jordan surname project to 25 markers, but we encourage
folks to go that way. I believe that all participants except one who started
at 12 markers have now upgraded to 25. They did so when they found 10 or more
matches with other participants. We have had about 20 percent start at 12
markers. Based on that percentage, I would suggest that you allow folks to
start at 12 and upgrade. It is a little more work for the project webmaster,
but the effort has good returns.
