Subject: [DNA] Print DNA Test Results Reported: 103 Year Old Melungeon Woman

As those of you who have been following various threads about my Ozark born mother in law know, her mitochondrial DNA was a very rare form of "J", only seen in the Middle East - yet her great grandmother Rebecca (Wright) Collins was born in the hills of Tennessee about 1812.

The BGA, Print DNA testing has now been reported to me by FTDNA. The results: 90% Indo - European, 10% Native North American. Not a surprise, at leat to me.

Both of these scores will be of intetest to those who are studying the Melungeons of Tennessee and Appalachia.
