These tests are in the early stages of development and need considerable refinement - a fact freely admitted by the folks at AncestrybyDNA. They also told me that I was correct in my assumption that it is far easier to "pick up" African "genes" in their testing that any of the other groups. The European and Native North American results seem to be solid enough (e.g., when compared to genealogical data).

It is, as I have said for months now, the "East Asian" genes that are the problem. They agree, and give their best shot at explaining possible results in their FAQ section of their site. The fact remains, though, that after all I have seen, and all the answers I have been given, I would not in any way put any credence in the East Asian findings. I consider them to be an anomaly. I often wonder what results would emerge if I had my Korean son - in - law tested.................. David.
