DNA Y-line study: 10, 12, 13, 24 markers what to use?
Which test (how many markers) is the most commonly used to conduct a y-line study?
My objective: Discover the hometown of Paul A. Hinze. The only known regarding Paulââ¬â¢s origin is that he was born in Germany in 1865 and immigrated to the US in 1881. There are no records that identify his hometown.
Y-line Study Objective: Identify other Hinze clans that share a common parental ancestor and who have established a pedigree back to a specific German region and town. Then to research a most recent common parental ancestor that may lead to the origin of Paul A. Hinze.
