Jack Goins, prominent Melungeon researcher, lecturer and author, whose book; "Melungeons and Other Pioneer Families", includes a chapter about the Sizemores, makes this statement in regard to the Sizemores not being considered of Melungeon descent.
"My Melungeon Great, Great Grandfather Zachariah Minor married a Sizemore,
but the Sizemore's were not considered Melungeon in the homeland of the
Melungeons in Hancock County, Tennessee. Jack Goins"
I don't know of any serious Melungeon researcher who considers the Sizemores to have been Melungeon.
