Subject: [DNA] group on DNA for Beginners

The GENEALOGY-DNA-L site in my opinion should be for those with a technical
interest - the biology is way over my head!
I should be pleased to administer a DNA for Beginners

Subject: [DNA] I had to cancel my latest group on DNA for Beginners due
to loss of eyesight
I'm sorry that I have to remove the DNA for Beginners in Family History
group because of loss of eyesight. A colleague tried to take it over, but he
was unable to find the time. Therefore, anyone with the interest and time is
free to start a group for discussion of this topic. Sorry, but I didn't
realize that my encroaching blindness would come in a matter of weeks
instead of months.
In any case, if anyone else would like to start a yahoo group devoted to
discussion "DNA for Beginners" or oral history and DNA, ancestry, family
history, etc. that covers material other than in found on this yahoo group,
please feel free to start a group of your own. I was unable to find anyone
to take mine over, and my physician's advice is to stay offline as much as I
can. I'm presently looking at screen audio readers. In any case. I had to
delete my own groups, but anyone out there, feel free to start your own. I
would be happy to participate in the discussions, but I can't see well
enough to run a group and read everyone's postings. It would be nice to have
a group on ancient DNA or topics covering what is not covered on this group.
It's up to you. This is just to let you know that I had to cancel my own
group on DNA for Beginners. I hope I have been of help through the two books
I wrote on DNA on my Web sites. Thank you for all your help. Remember you
can always browse my book free at the publisher's Web site, if they may be
of further help with definitions or interviews.
