Dear Friends - A perfect match using a 12 marker DNA test was found
between descendants of Joseph Brown b. 1770, s/o Thomas Brown and George
Brown b. 1766, s/o Thomas Brown b. 1730.
Also a perfect match was found between the descendants above and a
Raymond Brown who is descended from a George Brown b. ca 1709. No known
relationship exists between the the descendants of Thomas Brown b. 1730
and George Brown b. ca 1707.
Now the big question! The descendant of Joseph Brown b. 1770 and George
Brown b. ca 1707 matched perfectly when testing for the 25 marker DNA
test.
The descendants of the two brothers, Joseph b. 1770 and George b. 1766
matched 24/25 or a 1 step mutation. We have always thought they were
brothers but perhaps they were not brothers!
What am I to understand from the test results? What other tests should I
consider doing? Thanks very much!
