Can't agree with this -even noting the smiley!
I have boringly dull Rb1 values with only one variation from the modal in
the 12 marker test (13,30 at DYS389) - yet I only match with 20 out of 1500
cases from Britain in the FTDNA REO database for 12/12 (ie origins reported
as England/Wales and Scotland). The percentage is far lower when you look
at the YSTR data.
The genetic/cultural composition of Britain is so varied over the last
1000 years that I doubt that there is such a thing as an 'English' surname
anyhow. (and there's a generalisation you could argue with, too :))
