Max,

Glad to see the additional information being provided on this 12 marker,
low-resolution match issue.

I think FTDNA needs to enhance the public-private function to provide a
separate "on-off" switch, which can be set by the individual themselves
in the contact information page, for the 12 marker level Y-DNA matches.
Instead of having the public-private function be all or nothing, split
it such that one can separately set the 12 marker data as private and
still have the high resolution section as public. This would help your
customers a lot, in my opinion, by giving them more control over the
filtering process.
