Certainly
IS it possible that "American Indian..." in
the pure form, could be blonde and fair
The Scandinavians visited North America more than 500 years ago.In 1497 John
Cabot of Bristol reached Newfoundland. There was a strong tradition among
Bristol seafarers of mysterious "islands" in the Atlantic (USA?), and
expeditions date to the 1480s'.
For genealogical purposes we can say that today (apart from a few such as PA
Dutch!) we are all Heinz57 - i.e. homogonised. We can say that for thousands
of years communities such as Native Americans were isolated and therefore
"pure". But for those of us doing genealogy the last five hundred years are
the only time of importance.
