I think it would be a rare event, but not absolutely preposterous. Genetic
diversity is the engine that powers natural selection. As I recall, blond
hair and fair skin is a recent genetic adaptation to lack of sunlight. You
must think it is absolutely preposterous that Native American's have the
potential to evolve.
