There are no blanket rule because every project is run by a different person.
A number of the same markers are used from company to company. I think most
projects would be interested in seeing how those that overlap compare to the
others. However, that is not always true. I contacted a DAVIS Surname study
and was told it is only open to a particular Davis family with specific
geographic roots.

Because of that attitude I had my Davis cousin tested (25 marker) as part of
the Patronymic Group. When I get the results I'll probably send them to the
PA of the Davis group, even though they said they were not interested. They
might want to see if a Southern Davis is genetically similar to their Yankee
DNA. Or they can delete my email.
