Works BOTH WAYS !!!

We have a number of individuals in the BOONE project who have differences in
the first 12 (probably 3-sites differ between 6-8 people), but have strong
paper trails (covering about 11-generations)indicating there should be a
relationship, and who matched on ALL of the additional 13 sites !!

Yes, it would be, but I'd consider that a long-shot. If they had good
reasons
to believe they were related in a genealogical time frame and were downcast
because of a 10/12 match, I'd be more inclined to recommend a 25 marker
test.
Even 12/12 matches occasionally break down when moving to a 25 marker test.
