Subject: The Molecule Hunt book by M.Jones

Hi all
I have read The Molecule Hunt, by M.Jones. It has 280 pages, in the Penguin
Archaeology series.
I can fully recommend it, especially to deep water DNA anglers. The tightly
packed index of 18 pages and 22 pages of references makes it a very useful
quick-reference manual. The book contains many of the familiar names of the
authors of key DNA scientific papers. Chapter 9, page 203, Friends and
Relations, deals with the pros and cons of mitochondria and Y-chrom
haplotypes; and poses the question, 'Is there anything to be gained by going
back beyond the time scale of recorded genealogies ? ' I think this book
could provide some very good DNA discussion topics. Best wishes, Alan.
