Folks:
I hate to bring up things for which I'm unable to cite an authoritative
source, but maybe someone can comment on this.
If the Basques are just another Iberian people, closely related
(genetically) to these other groups, why is it that intermarriages
between Basques and other Europeans produce an inordinate number of
genetic problems in the offspring of such alliances? I heard this on a
TV or radio program (can't remember which). Can anyone, here, confirm
or deny this report? Is it a myth? If not, what does it mean, in
regard to this discussion?
