David,
As I understand it, one can be higher that one parent, but not higher
than the total of both parents combined. Am I incorrect in my
understanding?

Hi Lisa:
The answer is yes. The rationale was explained to me by Dr. Matt
Thomas, Senior Scientist at AncestrybyDNA. In addition, our Listmaster
Ann posted a lengthy description, allele by allele, using myself as an
example, of how this could happen. The latter posting will be in the
Archives for the present year.
May I respectfully suggest that you post the results of each of your
family members to the website of Charles Kerchner
(www.kerchner.com/cgi-kerchner/dnaprint.cgi). I am sure that it would
be a learning experience for all of us. Thanks.
David.

Dear Listers,
With a DNA Print is it possible to exhibit a higher % of one of the
population groups than that shown by either parent, or by both parents
combined?
Thanks,
Lisa
