Sorry I didn't dispute your assertion before, but I figured it didn't make
any difference. No offense intended, but I generally skim over the arguments
regarding the validity (or reliability?) of the DNAPrint test. I can't tell you
how close the blue line goes to zero except to say very close. I guess you
could fit a few more of those blue dots along the line - what, a few percentage
points? I have no clue. The triangle plot is strange to me - in addition to
undergrad stats, I took several semesters of advanced data analysis and I
still detest this ___ triangle. I wish the company would dump the triangle and
provide an analysis of the results in basic text. I don't want generalities, I
want a specific percentage of IE, NA, etc. plus or minus a given number of
percentage points at a specific level of probability, provided in text format.
If there is a particular genotype pattern that raises or lowers the
probability (more so than other patterns for NA, for example) I want to know this. I'm
frustrated too, but not enough to discard the findings out of hand. I'd be
more willing to discard a "solid paper trail". Why? Because I was a nurse and
then a lawyer. I've seen too many men who mistakenly believe they are the
biological father of their children. As my sister (also an R.N.) reminded me last
evening "Momma's baby, Daddy's maybe."
