Roughly yes, but Danelaw was a lot more complicated than this and is not to
be related to Danegeld and the problems of Ethelred Unread (the Unready). We
also had Kings such as Cnut who were from Scandanavia. The English succession
was not a simple primogeniture system as we have now and Harold Godwainson was
not the Atheling in 1066 although he became King then.
