I hope that's not what Tony meant to say -- it's simply not true. Of
course, a few failed markers should not make a large difference in the
result (unless they happened to be particularly "informative" markers),
but the difference between a 30 and a 71 or between two independent
71's would be on the scale of the statistical uncertainty of the 71.
