We have just such a situation in our study where two lines differ in
only one of the 464 markers.
Without the multi-copy markers, we could have misjudged the
relationships and spent many long hours trying to tie the families
together in the wrong time period.

We appreciate this forum and every opportunity it gives us to offer our
comments and observations.
When we make the case for multi-copy markers, we do it from the
rather than theoretical standpoint: we have many families where a split
determined only because multi-copy markers were used. In their absence,
they would have been a perfect match all the way, drawing inferior
conclusions from the genealogy standpoint.
