I'm sure they were ready to go at the drop of a hat, and that they had
multiple sources for Saddam's DNA profile, whether it was obtained in some
clandestine fashion or constructed from close kin. It just didn't seem like there was
enough time to amplify and process Saddam's DNA, but I've now seen some updates
to the timetable. He may have been in captivity longer than I guessed from
the early news releases.
