Greg ...

I think you & I match 11/12, and therefore you match 11/12 with several of
the Liles project. Some folks in Liles, Suttons, and myself were initially
assesed as "I*" by FTDNA, and we have both historical & genealogical evidence
of Scandinavian ancestry. (The Liles & I match 23/25 & have ordered 37 marker
upgrades - current differences are all "fast moving markers").

The Liles have traceable ancestry in "Isle of Wight" county in Virginia,
named, we assume, because of numerous settlers from the Isle of Wight in the
English Channel, a current focal point in our genealogical research,
~(1000-1700).

In the time frame you mention in your msg, my paternal ancestors were in
Connecticut & upstate New York. (Some of my maternal ancestors, Byroms &
Cherrys, were in the Virginas from the 1700s onward).

Off the top, I don't know how close "isle of Wight" county is to your counties
of interest, but it's easy to determine.

Happy hunting ...
