I have been on this list for a while now, and am a lurker. I knew absolutely
nothing about DNA when I joined. I am glad to say I understand a bit more
now than I did before. Although I have a long way to go. I have no
background in this subject or any related subject, so I am really flying
blind. I have never been scientifically minded and at my age, it is
difficult. At this point I am trying to get up enough nerve to attempt a
surname project. I look at some of your wonderful pages and think I can
never ever do this. Hopefully the other 'newbies' out there will not give up
and eventually, with a 'bit of homework', some of the info on this great
list will start to make some sense.
I better hurry and send this before I have second thoughts and delete it.
Marilyn
