This is another question that the Mutation Calculator is designed to answer.
If you plug in .002 for the mutation rate, 25 for the number of markers, and
20 for the number of transmission events, the probability of observing a
certain number of mutations is

0 29%
1 36%
2 23%
3 9%
4+ smaller and smaller
