In February of 2003, I took the DNAPrint 2.0 test and came back as 100%
European (Indo-European) with very low likelihood of anything else. This
confirmed what I have accomplished in assembling a family history so far.
Most of the ancestors came from England, with smaller numbers from Ireland,
Scotland, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Then, in January of this year, I ordered 2.5 upgrade and as DNAPrint had
saved my DNA from the first test, it took only about three weeks for the
test results to arrive. I was 96% European and 4% Native American, which
initially surprised me, but given the length of time some of my people have
been in America, I was not that all puzzled; there may very well have been
an Indian or two back there in the 1700s or 1800s in my family tree.

There have been numerous discussions on this board about the accuracy of
DNAPrint's test, including e-mails from Dr. Tony Frudakis, the company's
founder and developer of the test.

You might want to search the archives for these and read them over before
you decide whether to take the test or not. I understand that there is
another company(ies) which will be offering a biographical ancestry test in
the (I hope) not too distant future.

P.S. I know an Italian who got 9% Native American and 91% European on his
test. He can't figure it out as his family came directly from Sicily and
Italy, except for one branch which was in Pennsylvania. (mother's side)
