I don't recall anything quite like that, but there is a diagram at MitoMap
which shows the ring structure. The names of the genes are on the outside, and
certain mutations associated with disease on the inside, plus some alpha labels
I don't understand. The section at the top labeled D-loop is synonymous with
control region / hypervariable region.
