I have been experimenting with a new way to use REO info to reveal DNA
distribution patterns.
1) I calculate the percentage of matches to tests. With enough matches,
this gives the basic info we see on Haplotype distribution pie charts, but
with our own DNA matches.
2) For analysis purposes, I have divided the results chart into:
British Isles (focus area);
Norse, Saxon, Angles, Danish
Lowlands and France
Saxon orignation and eastern expansion countries
English expansion countries
3) I am getting satisfying results so far. The Danish viking REO is
resolving all the matches with paper trails to Yorkshire and Scotland. I
also have posted a close match with Clan Donald to illustrate a Celt REO
pattern.
4) I am requesting REO's with proven paper trails to analyize. So far, I
have about a dozen REO patterns done but few of them have the paper trail to
correlate with.
Here is a link to the REO Pattern page.
