Subject: [DNA] Interpreting
Hello,
Thank you to Mike, Charles, Terry and James for your helpful replies to
my post. I went to the www.smgf.org website and entered the Y-DNA test
results and there was one 22/23 match in their database. I clicked on
"Pedigree" but could not find what the "Surname" was or a contact. What
am I doing wrong? Also, this was reported as "Paternal MRCA Search
Results for You and Match #1:"
Number of loci compared: 23
Number of loci matched: 22
Most likely number of generations separating you from your paternal
MRCA: 10 Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) at 10 generations: 0.035
There was still no "Surname" mentioned or no contact information.
Please forgive for my ignorance and any help is very much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Sharin
