Hi all,
My DNAPrint results showed significant E. Asian ancestry, instead of Native American (my GGmother was Amerindian). From the discussions, I've learned that this is to be expected. Nevertheless, after checking my "dna sequences" at the dbSNP site, I found that many of my sequences had high frequencies among American Indians and not one had a frequency above 50% among E. Asians.
This makes me wonder, on what does FTDNA base its results? Those few "dna sequences" or the longer list of "genotypes"? If they do use the genotypes, then why aren't the "rs" or "ss" numbers for those given so that we can find out where they are most frequent?!
Does anyone know of a way to analyze those "genotypes"?!
Thanks,
Jan
