Sorenson was down last night too. I am trying to get in to check three
new results from Relative Genetics that don't match any of my Wells. In
one case there is a very strong likelihood of a "non-paternal event" and we
will end up with more research and testing to figure it out. It is very
curious that this is the third incident in this family dating back to the
early 1700s that we are aware of.

On the other side of the coin we had an exact match between a UK
participant and one of our US Wells families. In this case the US family
actually has deeper genealogy than the English participant so he may derive
a hint to his earlier roots from that. In another result we had a match
between a family we can track to Virginia in the early 1800s and an earlier
participant in British Columbia whose family was in Ontario, Canada in the
late 1800s. That will be a challenge to figure out. In this case the
first fellow originally didn't match anyone. But over time we have finally
found a cousin. Sometimes it take a lot of patience and time but it works!

Relative Genetics is running a little "slower" currently with their test
results. Three of the ones I received yesterday (out of 6) took about 16
days (it is hard to get a precise handle on this), one took three weeks and
three took just under two weeks. I have noted that they are scheduling the
results for three weeks when they are received but sometimes beat their
target.
