Subject: unexpected match in haplogroup I
Date: Fri, 20 Aug 2004 21:28:58 EDT
We got a real thrill on my Brewer DNA project today. With only 5 people
tested so far we had a perfect 25 marker match between two "UNRELATED" subjects.
The first 12 markers matched about 2 weeks ago but FTDNA provided the final 13
today. These two researchers shared a surname but did not know each other. One
can trace back to one North Carolina County and the other suspected a link to
another N. C. County, but he was unable to prove it.
For all you I researchers, these are estimated to be I. Any guess where they
originated?
