I have followed this list for several months, and there is very little
chatter about any HGs exempt R1a or R1b. This is understandable since E3b makes
up around 2% of FTDNA database, however I have read posts from confused
surname administrators seeking answers for their equally confused participants; no
reply.
If this list is in fact about all DNA and if in fact those surname groups
are about all participants with the sponsored surname then those administrators
and participants questions should be addressed.
I await in breathless anticipation.
========================
There is no requirement that a subscriber, group administrator, or Rootsweb
list administrator answer every question posted to this list. I answer when I
can but I'm not an expert about every obscure HG that has been described in
the literature. I do think when a person is tested in one of the lesser
known haplogroups they should try and learn all they can about that HG so they
can answer question in the future -- but they are NOT required to do that.
Also, I see some questions and comments posted that do not make sense. I
can't answer questions if I can't understand them. ( I can't answer some
questions I do understand.) Before pressing the send button everyone should try
rereading what they have written. If it doesn't make sense to the sender it will
not make sense to the reader. If the person posting does not write clear
comments or questions why should I waste my time answering their poorly
constructed question?
I realize all of us have different skill levels and some of us even have
disabilities that make writing difficult. I'm sympathetic to those disabilities.
I'm also typing this with a pencil attached to my palm with velcro. Both my
hands are paralyzed -- and they have been since 1977. Nevertheless, that is
how I learned to use a keyboard and that is how I answer questions (when I
know the answer.) If anybody thinks I owe them an answer please contact me off
list so I can get the address where I can send them my bill.
