I saw a special on one of the educational channels recently that was
discussed on list. I thought I remembered that there was clearly an
unusual "European" marker among the Ojibway (Chippewa) tribe. If anyone
can remember, was this by any chance M17?

Bill, Right now I'm concerned about the haplogroups of the yDNA
haplotypes and where they are found. Phenotypic features of people are
usually a complicated product of several chromosomes. Unfortunately
there are not many native North Americans left who have negligible
post-Columbus European genetic components.
