To interject a note here...when we were visiting the Mayan
peninsula several years ago we were guided through one
of the Mayan ruins by a Mayan descendant. He pointed out
the engraved boulder with a very tall man who did not
resemble the other people. According to history that
has been passed down for generations among his people, these
very tall blond men were believed to have been Vikings
who made their way into their homelands. Interesting
speculation.
