Ken and David,
Just thought I'd update you on the progress I've made in trying to track
down a likely source of my Y line...
I checked some of the Rootsweb archive material, and I match eight out of
nine markers of a minimal haplotype found in significant proportion in
Sweden and Upper Saxony... ( A Rus or Danish ancestor perhaps...?)
I've also found a close-ish match on Y-search with a Swedish chap called
Karlgren . Is he the same Andreas Karlgren who is the "I" group researcher
for this project..?
In any event I've offered to contribute to Carl-Johan Swaerdenheim's
forthcoming Viking DNA project...as per David's recent bulletin...
Thanks again for your help thus far...I'll let you know how I get on..
